Well it's mid-November
and it looks like I did quite well with my picks.
The
NFC
NFC
East: All you Deadskin
fans beware; here come the Eagles.
Yes the Eagles!
Right now unless they completely choke they're on track to win 10
games and still one game left with the Deadskins.
Giants
are not for real, with a bad
quarterback and bad secondary. Rams
showed them a thing or two last weekend at the Meadowlands.
I'm going with the Eagles
to win out with the Deadskins
and Giants
as wildcards if Tampa
folds.
Speaking of the
NFC Norris, I said the Vikes
were poised to win it all from that division and they will. Tampa
has too many holes at quarterback
and a jet named Keyshawn
who can talk the talk but can't walk the walk. The Lions
like the Giants
haven't played anybody and when they do they lose big. Bobby
Ross is gone and the Patriots
will upset them on turkey day. Bears
are going nowhere with that shabby defense.
NFC
West is still the Rams
to lose with Warner
and Faulk
coming back. I look for them to win the conference and get the bye
when the playoffs start. The Carolina
loss was a fluke. Nobody else is worth mentioning in this division.
The
AFC
AFC
East: Speaking again of the Fish
far and away the smoke and mirrors team of the league. How this team
has only 2 losses is beyond God even. No quarterback
and running
game this team will finish weak and lose in the first round
if they make it at all. Next are the Jets.
Depending on which Jet
team shows up week to week will decide how far they go. I say a conference
champ if Vinny
gets it together. The Bills
are still having a quarterback controversy, but why? Flutie
is the man. Keep Johnson
on the bench. If Flutie
plays, look for the Bills
in the playoffs. Regarding my Patriots;
well there's always next year and I hear Robert Edwards is coming
back this year. We'll see what happens. The Colts
finish out this strong division and win 2 or 3 games and take the
bye week with Miami
and the Bills
fading.
In the AFC
Central I like the Titans
and Ravens
a lot. They both have great defenses and that's what wins Superbowls.
A toss up even though Pittsburgh
is a noble third with 2 games called back due to refs' miscues, which
will hurt them in the end.
And in the
AFC West is the surprise
in the league: the Raiders.
My buddy Carmen's team. I look for the Raiders
to get to the conference championship game vs. the Jets
in the Heidi
Bowl 2. Maybe they can open up Shea
for the day. The Chiefs
are fading and without Griese
on the Broncs,
they have no chance.
See you in January
for the next update. May all you balls be footballs the great sport
but not the greatest.
