The Annual "Sports Trip" State

Florida is probably our favorite travel destination here at martytown. We've been there on a number of occasions starting in 1969. Lately, it's become an annual trip in late march. There are lots of pictures and stuff here from the recent trips:

2003
This year included the bay hill golf tournament for the first time, along with a visit to the mets' home field in port st. lucie. We packed the spring 2003 trip into just 4 days!

2002
We returned again for the spring 2002 edition of the sports trip, hitting all 5 sports in only 4 days! For the first time we also included dodgertown in the mix.

2001
We skipped the sports trip this year, but did go again for christmas 2001. This year we hit key west, miami beach, and orlando, and even made a side trip to the bahamas.

2000
The spring 2000 trip didn't include golf, but we still did 5 sports in 5 days!

Later the same year, we spent christmas 2000 in orlando and miami beach for some sun over eight days!

1999
Our first official "5 Sports in 5 Days" trip to the sunshine state was in spring 1999. That's right: hockey, basketball, tennis, golf, and spring training baseball. Check it out!

1998
Our visit to florida which foreshadowed the sports trip concept was in spring 1998. We have some photos and autographs from that trip.
