The Tarheel State

For as close as I live to north carolina, it's a state that I've mostly ignored for more exotic places. Too bad, because it has a lot to offer. Not counting going through the state on my way to somewhere else, I had never really explored the state until recently.

In 2003, I hit the outer banks for the first time. What a great area! Then in 2008, on my way back from the masters golf tournament, I checked out durham, chapel hill, and raleigh. Another cool spot that I need additional time to explore at a more leisurely pace.
