I found this CD at my local starbucks shop. It's a great introduction to mambo and Latin music generally, and it's a lot of fun! Some of these songs are very familiar, and yet I knew nothing about the artists until now (the liner notes here are excellent). You can't get this CD through Amazon
.com, but you can order it through Starbucks' music site, hearmusic.com. It includes the great instrumental Cherry Pink and Apple Blossom White by Perez Prado, Guantanamera by Celia Cruz, and even tunes by Nat King Cole, Desi Arnaz, and Dean Martin. It's definitely a change of pace and worth a listen.
