I had my misgivings about this movie, since it's a remake of a cult classic starring the rat pack, and because it has one of those "made for big box office" all star casts. But I am a fan of George Clooney and Matt Damon, so I decided to give it a chance. The story develops well enough (if a bit slowly), as Clooney gathers together eleven specialists who will help in various ways with the heist of a casino's money, which is stored in an impregnable vault. Even the misdirection and clever plot twists are okay — up to a certain point. But the ending left me so flat that all the air went out of the balloon. I was expecting something more, much more, like in the original. So this is misleading in that it's not a remake at all, just another caper movie that happens to involve a casino.
