Woody
Allen stars in one of his funniest parts in years in The
Curse of the Jade Scorpion. He plays an insurance investigator
in the early 1940s called upon to solve a series of jewel thefts from
wealthy clients. Only Allen knows enough about the security in the
victims' homes to figure out how it was done. But it turns out that
it's Allen himself who is the thief under hypnosis by David
Ogden Stiers. And his office nemesis (Helen Hunt) wants to fire him,
but she's hypnotized too! A lot of fun, if a little forced and corny
at times.
