Interesting
suspense story about a journalist's attempt to expose a
tobacco company's lies, and the pressures that are brought to bear
by the bad guys. Of course, since we sort of know what's going to
happen, some of the air is out of this balloon. And in the jaded 90s,
it's less believable that a journalist would get all worked up over
the truth (rather than the ratings or a powerful corporate sponsor).
I'm not saying that it doesn't happen, but that movies now have to
work harder to convince us.
