I
had heard all the religous critcisms of this movie, but
I didn't think that would bother me (and it didn't). What bothered
me is a movie that is supposedly a comedy, but isn't very funny. And
although I don't have a problem with modern screen violence, in this
movie it seemed unnecessary and shocking.
The story is about
two fallen angels (Damon and Affleck) who are sentenced for all eternity
to stay in Wisconsin (ha, ha) and are trying to get into heaven. Fiorentino
is chosen by another angel to stop them. Along the way she meets up
with the missing 13th apostle, Chris Rock. Guess why he wasn't mentioned
in the bible? (Ha, ha.) Although the movie takes the characters from
Wisconsin to New Jersey, this movie goes nowhere. In a year of great
movies, this is absolutely the worst movie
of the year.
