I'm not a John Grisham fan, but this overlooked movie, from a Grisham novel, has it all. Set in Savannah (just like another one of my favorites, Midnight in the Garden of Good and Evil) the story involves a lawyer (Kenneth Branagh) and his involvement in helping a woman (Embeth Davidtz) who is in fear of her mysterious father (Robert Duvall). The film has a suspenseful buildup and lots of mysterious goings on as we await Branagh's confrontation with Robert Duvall.
