Set
in the corporate boardrooms of New York in the 50s, this
movie is about a mailroom clerk (Tim Robbins) who becomes the head
of Hudsucker Industries, but is really there to be manipulated by
Paul Newman for his own shady purposes. I wanted to like this movie's
premise and style, but eventually it's just too much to take. It showcases
a lot of old fashioned movie devices that we've come to expect from
the Coen Brothers, but where exactly is this movie going? By far my
least favorite of their works.
