An interesting gangster movie set in New York in the 30s about a mob war, police corruption, double and triple crosses and a dame in the middle of it all. The main story is good, but at times the movie seems to drag, and it's awfully hard to understand what the characters are talking about, both because it's a complicated plot and they use a lot of old slang. An interesting early work from the Coen Brothers.
