various plug-ins and other features to enhance certain pages and
materials on the site. Below is a list of free players, readers

Adobe Acrobat
is the premier program for creating PDF (portable document format)
files for use on the internet. We use this program to create some
large files here at martytown, which can then be easily downloaded
and printed. Download
the free Reader to view this material.

Internet
Explorer browser (IE) by Microsoft is the best. Unlike many
sites that try to make sure everything works with all the "popular"
browsers, we don't. So if you're using a browser that has a big
letter "N" as its icon, we're sorry to hear that. Now
get with the program and download
IE.

Flash
is the leading complex animation program for use on the internet.
You have to have the player to view this material. At the moment,
flash isn't being used in martytown, but we expect to be using
it shortly. Download
the free player from Macromedia.

There are
a few good video/audio players that you can use, but we prefer
and recommend the Windows Media Player by Microsoft. We
will have some videos to download shortly. Download
the free Media Player from Microsoft.

While we don't
expect martytown to be a "shocked" site anytime soon,
Shockwave is really cool stuff. Download
the free player from Macromedia.
