San Francisco
This city is unbelievable! The streets are crazy; one minute you're going up a steep cliff and then the next minute you're trying to hold on as you make a steep drop. There are lots of good restaurants and a lot of famous landmarks. And it's all packed into a pretty small town across the bay from oakland.
We stopped in san francisco twice on our trip in may 2002, for a total of 4 days and three nights. And we tried to do everything in this short period of time!
We have 5 categories of pictures from the trip:
Alcatraz: 4 pictures of the notorious former prison, which is now part of the national park service's golden gate national recreation area.
Around Town: 8 pictures of famous streets, sites, cable cars, and street cars.
Golden Gate: 4 pictures of the golden gate bridge and 4 pictures of the japanese tea garden found within the golden gate park.
SF Giants: 4 pictures of our day at pac bell park to see the giants vs. the arizona diamondbacks.
Skyline: 4 pictures of various buildings and the sun setting in the pacific ocean.
